This gorgeous slip is
from the late 1940s to early 1950s, the New Look Era and it is
the most wonderful color I'm calling Aqua Ice, it is cool and
soothing to the eye. The size of this slip is 36 with a side
length of 36" for the longer styles of that era. I believe
the fabric is rayon, that would be typical for this era and style
slip. The original Leona lingerie care tag and the original store
tag are included. To freshen from long storage the slip has been
gently handwashed, air dried and pressed with a vintage iron.
The hem and bodice lace is a contrasting ecru color making a
gorgeous combination. At the center of the bodice lace there
are appliques over the lace, these are embroidered with silk
thread for a beautiful sheen. Featured are three hearts, the
lace shows through two and the center heart is an applique. A
slip of this beauty and quality may only come along once in a
lifetime and by now it is likely one of a kind.
