Everything about this
vintage new never worn strapless slip is exciting from the rare
navy blue color to the larger size. The maker is Blue Swan, a
very collectible label. The size is 38, the length measured from
the underarm is 37" and measured from the waist the skirt
length is 29", both measurements include the 4" ruffle.
The entire bodice is gathered with elastic so the fit is perfect
for a number of sizes. The darted bust stretches from 28 to 40"
and the waist stretches from 25 to 36", since the skirt
is gathered the hips are free. The front of the bodice is higher
than the back for an evening gown effect, the top of the slip
and the ruffle hem are edged with lace. The fabric is acetate
taffeta so you have that marvelous little rustle as you move,
this is perfect to wear as a dress for day or evening.
