A wonderful acetate taffeta
full slip from Charmode, the vintage upscale label from Sears,
Roebuck Co, the size is 36. This is a very high quality garment
with superb workmanship, it includes a snip-it hem feature so
you can shorten the 38" length up to 2" if you wish.
The seams are pinked as is typical of an early 1950's slip, the
straps are self fabric with metal adjustors. The design is somewhat
deco with the 8 gore skirt which curves upward under the bodice.
The bodice is gently curved at the top and is decorated with
a scalloped line of stitching. The taffeta has a marvelous feel
on the body and a subtle elegant rustle as you move, an altogether
satisfying sensation.
