This is a truly unique
pair of tap panties, a transition type from the late 1940's to
the early 1950's. There is a crisp paper size tag saying size
7 which is 50's sizing, the design of the panties is 40's, the
fabric is a fine nylon mesh net which could be either era. The
mesh net is stretchy but the waistband is not, it fastens with
2 mother of pearl buttons which allow a variation from 25 1/2"
to 27 1/2", the hips 34/36", side length is 14".
The color is a soft flesh nude tone with ecru lace appliques
centered with tiny handmade satin rosettes, the legs are trimmed
with matching lace. These tap panties are a fantastic find for
a vintage lingerie collection, undoubtedly one of a kind after
all these years, and they are in never worn condition.
