A beautiful rarely found
full length formal slip bearing an early "Genuine Seamprufe"
label which probably dates to the 1940's. The fabric is a marvelous
heavy taffeta that sounds heavenly when you move, has that mystery
woman rustle, the color is that Perfect Peach only seen on vintage
lingerie. The size is 36 and will fit 36 A, B or C cup, under
bust fits to 28", waist fits to 30" and hips fit to
38", the fabric has no give so measure carefully. This formal
length slip is 48" at the side and can be adjusted by moving
the tiny metal sliders on the straps, there is a little bit of
elastic at the back straps for comfort. I believe this slip has
never been worn but has picked up some storage dust over the
past 60+ years so I would recommend you have it dry cleaned.
The style is Art Deco simplicity with clean lines and the finishing
touch is a pleated 3" ruffled hem.
This rare find should be carefully treasured and would make a
spectacular evening gown
